After taking a big first step into the 2021 season with a 29-26 win over Kutztown, IUP prepares for another very large stride as the Crimson Hawks ready themselves for a matchup with Shepherd on Saturday at George P. Miller Stadium. Shepherd beat Gannon, 56-26, for their second straight win.
Elsewhere in the PSAC, Slippery Rock beat East Stroudsburg, 22-7; Seton hill was a 13-7 winner over Bloomsburg; Millersville downed Clarion, 21-17; Cal U drubbed Lock Haven, 59-0; West Chester routed Mercyhurst, 56-10; and Shippensburg beat Edinboro, 30-9.

The weekly college football has Penn State moving up a spot to No. 12 and Pitt climbing closer to top 25 consideration. The Nittany Lions beat Ball State on Saturday while the Panthers won a tough one at Tennessee. Pitt received 52 votes in the poll, cutting the number of teams between them and the Top 25 to six.
