The covid-19 cases continue to increase at the Indiana Area School District, with three more positive test results reported yesterday- one each in students at the Senior High, Eisenhower Elementary, and Ben Franklin Elementary schools. However, none of the three students were in school during their infectious period, so the cases do not apply to the district’s 14-day rolling clock and will not appear on the covid-19 dashboard.
There are currently ten confirmed cases in the district and approximately 110 students in quarantine. All of the district’s buildings remain fully open.
Purchase Line shows five students at the high school and one at its elementary school with covid-19, plus three high school staff members. There 24 students and three staff members at the high school in quarantine, and 42 students at the elementary school.
Penns Manor reports a new case in a student at the elementary level. That student has not been in school since September 1st and contact tracing shows no others who have been exposed.
At Marion Center, there are seven cases reported at the high school, including two new ones as of yesterday, plus four at the McCreery school and three at the Rayne Elementary. District wide, 56 people are in quarantine, 46 of them at the high school.
River Valley’s 14-day rolling covid-19 clock shows 19 current cases: Six at the high school, five at Blairsville Elementary, four at the middle school (including one added yesterday), and three at Saltsburg Elementary. Those cases are all students. There is also a single case in an employee at the Saltsburg Elementary.
