The Homer-Center Wildcats committed six errors in a 16-3 loss to Derry in the championship game of the Homer-Center Tournament Saturday at First Commonwealth Bank Field in Center Township.
Derry scored six runs in the second inning and again in the third inning. The Trojans won the game on the 10-run rule after five innings.
Austin Perry led the Wildcats with two hits but also took the pitching loss.
Alex Ulery was awarded tournament MVP honors. Josh Bauer and Zack Blystone from Derry were also named to the tournament all-star team. From Homer-Center, Matt Alexander and Nate Davis won all-star team honors, as well as Taylor McCunn and Dylan Johnston for Marion Center and Tim Rubal and Brady Rogalla for Richland.
