VOLLEYBALL
The Indiana girls lost 2-3 to Franklin Regional in a section match. Emily Madey had 27 assists and 6 aces. Mia Ciocca led in kills at 11. Lily Cunningham led in digs at 10. Abbie Huey contributed six aces.
Homer-Center beat Penns Manor, 3-0. The Wildcats took the first set, 25-8, and followed up with a 25-10 second set and 25-11 in the third. Meegan Williams led Homer-Center with 14 kills. Mya Fatula had 14 digs, Ashlynn Kerr had ten independent aces and Macy Sardone had 39 assists.
In a battle of two of the Heritage Conference’s top powers, West Shamokin topped Northern Cambria, 3-2. The Wolves won the first set, 25-19, but dropped the next two, 25-20 and 25-19. West Shamokin took the decisive fifth set, 15-12.
GOLF
Indiana beat Greensburg Salem, 212-253, yesterday at the Indiana Country Club. Harrison Martineau was medalist with a 2-over 38. Trevor Todd shot a 40 and Alex Holuta a 41. Michaal Lubold shot a 46 and Gabe Nettleton a 47 for the Little Indians, who are 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the section.
River Valley fell to Penn Cambria by 27 strokes. The Panthers were led by Carson McCully’s 44. All of the other River Valley golfers shot in the fifties.
