The Pirates need Mitch Keller to pitch like an ace and he took a step in that direction last night, on a milestone night for Bryan Reynolds. Joe Block had the story of another Pirates win.
Reynolds, Jack Suwinski, Andrew McCutchen, Connor Joe, and Jared Triolo all had two hits in a 12-hit Pirates attack.

ALTOONA CURVE
Altoona holds its home opener tonight against the Harrisburg Senators. Braxton Ashcraft makes his first appearance of the season. The 24-year-old 6-5 righthander is the Pirates seventh-ranked prospect according to MLB Pipeline. He was 0-3 with a 2.39 ERA in 19 starts in Class A, AA, and AAA last season as the Pirates limited him to 52-and-two-thirds innings in his first full season back after Tommy John surgery.
