Richard Raymond “Ray” McKendrick, 88, of Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Born in Ben Avon, Indiana PA, on March 3, 1936, he was the son of the late John D. and Susan M. (Shaffer) McKendrick.
Ray served in the United States Air Force and worked at Season-All industries as a mechanic for many years. He was a member of the Luciusboro Wesleyan Methodist Church.
Surviving Ray are his children, son Roger McKendrick, of Indiana and daughter Susan (Jeffrey) Hill, of Indiana; grandchildren Mark (Amanda) McKendrick, of Belle Vernon, and Stephanie Friday, of Polk City, FL.; great-granddaughters Hannah Friday, of Polk City, FL and Madison McKendrick, of Belle Vernon, and sister-in-law Lucy McKendrick, of Palmertown, PA.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. (Zack) McKendrick, siblings, Hazel Luchick, Leroy, William, Darrel, Leonard, and Joseph McKendrick, and three infant siblings, Ronald Eugene, Robert J., and Doris Jean McKendrick.
Friends will be received by the family on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from noon until the time of the service at 2:00 PM in the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, with Pastor Robert Thorton officiating. Interment will be at the Brush Valley Cemetery.
