An Indiana County man was pronounced dead from injuries he suffered in a crash with a tow truck on Wednesday.
Reports say 82-year-old Ronald Shearer of Indiana was driving his pickup truck South on Old Route 119 North in White Township around 10:50 AM when he hit a flatbed tow truck that was backing out into traffic. Shearer was life-flighted to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead in the emergency room by County Coroner Joseph Hribar.
State police and the Cambria County Coroner’s office are continuing to investigate the collision. An autopsy was scheduled for yesterday at ForensicDX in Windber.
