For the second time this week, Indiana topped Norwin in a boys sectional golf matchup, this time with a 210-215 win on Norwin’s home course, the Youghiogheny Country Club. Harrison Martineau was the medalist with a 1-over 37. Trevor Todd overcame a tough start to finish the final five holes one stroke under par, for a total of 40. Alex Holuta and Gabe Nettleton each shot 44 and Phillip Bell a 45.
The Indiana girls fell to Hempfield, 184-215 at the Indiana Country Club. Ally Conrad led Indiana with a 53, followed by Jenny Todd’s 54, Addie Raykes with a 55, Hope Cook’s 56, and Emily Teacher’s 59.
In the Heritage Conference, River Valley topped Homer-Center, 237-274. The top three golfers for the Panthers were Cole Stuchal, with a 44; Carson McCully shot a 45; and Cam Reaugh 46. For Homer-Center, Jonah Arone had the top score, a 48, followed by Caden Vitale’s 54 and Tanner Heidenthal’s 56.
