Fire crews were called out this morning to a student rental house in Indiana Borough for a smoke investigation.
The call went out at 8:47 this morning for Indiana, Homer City, Creekside and Clymer Fire Departments and Indiana Borough Police for a property at 857 Wayne Avenue for what was initially reported as a structure fire that was later downgraded to a smoke investigation. Indiana Fire Association and police continued to investigate while the other companies were cancelled. No smoke was showing on-scene, and fire officials said that there was a concern with the building’s radiator.
Crews were on the scene for about 30 minutes, and the inbound lane of Wayne Avenue was blocked for that amount of time as officials investigated the house. The landlord was notified.
