Road construction season has arrived and there are some road projects that will affect traffic starting tomorrow.
PennDOT says last year’s resurfacing project in White Township and Indiana Borough will resume tomorrow after a winter break. Crews will be resurfacing North 4th Street from Philadelphia Street to Country Club Drive and at the intersection of Wayne Avenue/South 7th Street and Locust Street.
It’s an $11.9 million project that is expected to be completed near the end of October.
PennDOT also last week announced two bridge projects that are ready to get underway in Armstrong County.
The Fagley Run Bridge replacement in South Bend Township will start April 15th. Girty Road will be closed from April 15th to June 10th from Stoney Point Road to Oak Hill Road. The detour will involve the use of Route 422 and Route 210 in Elderton, plus Route 56/156 on the southern side of the project.
The Brick Church Bridge replacement project in Plumcreek Township, Armstrong County begins Monday. That’s southeast of Kittanning and northeast of Vandergrift.
