Friday turned into a busy day for Indiana County’s first responders with multiple fires and accidents reported.
The first call of the day came at 12:27 PM as a vehicle fire was reported on Black Lick Road in Black Lick Township. The Black Lick, Aultman and Blairsville fire departments were dispatched at the time.
The other two fires were brush fires, and the first was reported at 1:43 PM on Front Street in Cherry Tree Borough. Cherry Tree firefighters were dispatched at the time. The third was a brush fire along Warren Road in White Township at 4:01 PM. Indiana fire association was called out at the time. This brings the total number of brush fires to 21 for the year in Indiana County.
Indiana Fire Association was also called out for the first of three vehicle crashes reported on Friday. The first was at 4:31 PM on Lisa Drive in White Township. The second crash was on Route 217 North in Black Lick Township. Aultman and Blairsville fire departments were called to the scene at 6:02 PM along with Citizens Ambulance. The third crash was on South 6th Street in White Township, with Indiana Fire Association and Citizens’ Ambulance called out once again. The call went out at 11:21 last night.
State police were called to all three accident scenes. Details on the crashes have not been released.
