State police placed a Pittsburgh man in custody on August 10th after it was discovered he was wanted in connection with multiple domestic incidents. Troopers say that they saw 58-year-old Kevin Thomas had multiple violations of Title 75 as he was driving in the area of Route 22 and Resort Plaza Drive in Burrell Township. When they were able to get in contact with Thomas, troopers discovered that he had fled from a prior domestic incident between him and his daughter. Thomas was also found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was subsequently taken into custody. He is in jail now on the charges stemming from the domestic dispute, while DUI charges are pending the results of blood tests.
No one was hurt in a vehicle crash reported Saturday evening in Conemaugh Township. State police said in a news release that 29-year-old Joseph Davison of New Kensington was driving his Jeep Cherokee on Lytle Road just west of Elders Ridge Road at 5:10 PM when he lost control of the vehicle and went off the road, hitting a Verizon utility pole. The pole sheared off and the Jeep went another 5-10 feet away before coming to a stop.
