IUP held a program this morning focusing on the start of the academic year.
During his remarks, IUP President Michael Driscoll addressed some of the rumors that had been circulating over the past few months, including his rumored departure from IUP.
Driscoll also mentioned that one of the goals for IUP is to become a “truly student-centric university.”
Driscoll also addressed the fact that there were staff reductions over the last year from retirements and retrenchment, but added that retrenchment will not be an option this year.
The video for the opening ceremony is found on IUP’s YouTube page.
