A Big Run man who pleaded no contest in connection with the sexual assault of a child was ordered to serve time in state prison this morning in Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas.
24-year-old Tyler Keaton Stormer was ordered to serve 10 to 20 years for each of two counts of rape of a child, one to four years for each of four counts of indecent assault, five to ten years for each of two counts of aggravated indecent assault of a child, three to six years for each of two counts of aggravated indecent assault and five to ten years for rape by forcible compulsion. On top of that, for 11 of those counts, he was ordered to serve three years of probation and 12 months of re-entry supervision to run after his release from prison. Judge Thomas Bianco ordered the sentences to run concurrently, meaning he will serve up to 20 years in prison.
The charges stemmed from an investigation in January of 2021 when a childline report was filed. The charges were officially filed in August of that same year. He pleaded no-contest, meaning that he did not admit guilt but did not contest the charges filed.
