A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a Clymer man who now faces charges related to possession of child pornography.
28-year-old Austin Troy Bingaman was charged in connection with an investigation that started January 1st of 2022, according to court records. State Attorney General’s Office officials say that they conducted a search late last week at a home on Hancock Street and found numerous pieces of child porn on his phone. He was arrested and charged with 49 counts of child porn possession and one count of criminal use of a communications facility.
Court documents show that he was arraigned in front of District Judge Tony Sottile and was placed in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail. The preliminary hearing is set for April 11th.
