The Indiana Area School board will hold a special meeting Monday night to handle a number of items, two of which have to do with work on two district buildings. The board will vote on a motion to apply for a $1.6 million state grant for work on the Junior High School roof, and another grant for $600,000 for environmental controls at East Pike Elementary. The funds fall under the Department of Community & Economic Development’s Public School Facility Improvement Grant program.
The Audit & Finance Committee will meet before the full board meeting, with an agenda that includes the ARIN Intermediate Unit budget, the Indiana Area budget, and related items such as the athletics budgets for the Senior High and Junior High.
Marion Center’s school board is scheduled to hold a combined work and voting session on Monday, dealing largely with a number of personnel items.
