Four Curve players tallied multi-hit games on Sunday as Altoona took the series finale from the Erie Seawolves, 5-3, in ten innings.
The Curve mounted three runs in the top of the tenth after Matthew Fraizer and Ji-hwan Bae doubled in two runs, followed by a sacrifice fly by Jack Suwinski. Cristofer Melendez held down the fort and earned the win after 2.1 innings of no-hit relief and striking out two in the process.
Fraizer went 3-for-5 in the game, improving his batting average to .368 in just 10 games with the Curve.
Curve starter Omar Cruz allowed just three hits and one earned run while striking out three hitters over four innings on the mound. Diego Castillo launched his fourth home run of the season in the first inning off Erie started A.J. Ladwig.
The Curve, now 47-41, have the day off today. They return home tomorrow night to open a six-game set with the Somerset Patriots.
