Former Pitt running back Dion Lewis announced his retirement from the NFL yesterday.
Lewis, 30, played eight NFL seasons over a 10-year span and won a Super Bowl title with the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI. He had injury issues during the final stretch of his career.
Lewis played two years at Pitt before being drafted by Philadelphia in the 2011 NFL Draft. He collected 2,860 yards and 30 touchdowns on 544 rushing attempts with the Panthers.
