The Pirates finally scored some runs against the Cardinals, but not enough of them, as they dropped their eighth straight game.

Manager Derek Shelton said it was good to see Colin Moran crack two home runs yesterday as he continues to settle in after his return from a broken hand.
The last team the Pirates beat was Milwaukee, as they took one game out of three against the Brewers last week. Now the Brewers come to PNC Park. Mitch Keller [3-9] pitches for the Pirates tonight in the opener of a three-game series. Milwaukee will throw Brett Anderson [4-5]. The airtime is 6:40 on WCCS.
After a hot start to his pro baseball career in rookie ball, number one overall choice Henry Davis was promoted by the Pirates yesterday to High-A Greensboro, where he tripled in his first game. He bypasses Low-A Bradenton following his two-game stint in the Florida Complex League, where he was 3-for-7 with two doubles, a home run, and four RBI.
