Indiana Borough will start their new year with a new borough manager.
Last night was the final night for William Sutton as the borough manager. He had served as manager since November of 2012, taking over for Jeff Raykes. Sutton had served as acting manager in the past. In his final remarks as manager, Sutton said he was happy with some of the things that the borough was instrumental in doing, especially with the open communication between his office and the council. He said he was hopeful that council would continue to keep the communication lines open with the new manager.
Brad Gotshall will step in today as the borough’s new manager, and Sutton said he will remain with the Manager’s office to assist in the transition. Sutton will remain with the borough as the Chief of Police.
One of Sutton’s last official acts took place last night as he presided over the presentation of some certificates of recognition to Donna Griffith, Michael Hood and Indiana Borough Mayor George Hood for their work in the year-long Indiana Borough Bicentennial celebration.

Power Plant and Data Center
There is vocal opposition to the Homer City power plant project and the data centers they could potentially bring. But does that mean the majority are against it? What do you think?
I have always opposed it and still do.
I have always been for it and still am.
I was for it but now am against it.
I was against it but now I am in favor of it.
I am still on the fence. Too many unknowns!
