No injuries were reported and one person had to be rescued from a house fire this morning in Shelocta.
Indiana County 911 reported that Indiana and Elderton fire departments along with the Hazmat team, Citizens’ Ambulance and the state police were dispatched at 10:24 this morning for a structure fire at 240 Vista Lane in Shelocta. According to initial reports, the fire was in a one-story home and smoke was showing by the time the first crews arrived on the scene. They also reported that one person was trapped inside the home. Fire crews were able to rescue that person.
Iselin, Burrell, Creekside, and Kiski Township fire departments were also called into assist later on. State police are looking into the cause of the fire and if the fire was accidental or intentional.
