The Stingers are 22-5 and beat Marian Catholic Friday, 53-42 after going on a 15-0 run spanning the second and third quarters. Their leading scorer is senior Lydia Miller, averaging 13.6 points per game.
Marion Center coach Amy Trimble says her girls know what’s at stake tonight.
Trimble realizes she has a special group of players on her Marion Center team, and says their hard work is paying off.
The other Final Four game tonight features last year’s champion, Kennedy Catholic, against Greensburg Central Catholic in a rematch of last year’s semifinal. That one tips off at 6 at North Allegheny High School.
Tonight’s Marion Center game is on Cat Country 106.3 FM. Our request to stream it on Renda Digital TV was denied by the PIAA. We’ll be on the air at 5:15, with tipoff scheduled for six o’clock.
