Commodore fire department and state police were on a search detail in Green Township.
The call for Commodore Fire Department, PSP and the Rit Team went out at 8:30 PM. Fire officials say that an un-named adult reportedly went into a wooded area and did not return. A search was started by crews on foot and using side-by-sides, and a thermal imaging drone was also brought in to help crews out. During the search, it was reported that the missing person was able to make it out and return safe and sound to their home.
That was one of only two calls for service yesterday. The other was for a vehicle accident reported on Route 553 in Pine Township at 10:14 PM. A driver reportedly hit a deer, according to Pine Township Fire Officials, and the airbag deployed. No injuries were reported. Nicktown fire department, state police and Citizens’ Ambulance were all called to the scene.
