At last night’s meeting, the Penns Manor School Board tabled a motion to hire a new assistant track and field coach.
Allison Baker was hired as the head volleyball coach, and Aaron Packer was named the new Junior High Assistant Football Coach, but the motion to hire the new girls track and field assistant coach was tabled. Superintendent Daren Johnston said that things weren’t ready in time for this meeting.
In other business, the board approved an agreement with Berkshire Systems Group for the installation of a cellular alarm communication module to monitor the district’s fire alarm system via cellular technology to the 24/7 cental station monitoring facility. The cost will be $3,463. The board also approved the 2024-25 school year calendar, with the first student day on August 22 and the final student day on May 30th.
