Pirates catcher Chris Stewart went 2-for-2 with a bases-clearing double down the left-field line that keyed a four-run third inning, as Pittsburgh defeated Minnesota, 4-3, at LECOM Park on Sunday.
Stewart drove in three runs. His batterymate to start the game, Trevor Williams, was credited with the win despite giving up two earned runs in three innings.
The Pirates improved to 12-4 in Grapefruit League action.
