The IUP men lost to Shippensburg, 90-87, in overtime in the PSAC semifinals Saturday at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex.
Anthony Glover scored 23 points for IUP, with Jacobo Diaz adding 22 points (and a team-high 10 rebounds) and Blake Danielak adding 21 points for the Crimson Hawks (27-3).
The IUP women’s basketball team advanced to the PSAC final with a 67-58 win over Shippensburg, the host team, Saturday afternoon. IUP outscored Shippensburg, 18-9, in overtime for the win.
Carolyn Appleby led IUP with 24 points. Hallen Denman scored 13 and Maura D’Anna scored 11 for the Crimson Hawks.
IUP trailed, 31-18, at halftime, but outscored Shippensburg, 20-9, in the third quarter to get back in the game.
The Crimson Hawks (22-6) will face California at Shippensburg on Sunday in the finals.
