An Arcadia man accused of leading police on a chase in Center Township will go before a district judge for a preliminary hearing today.
Troopers accused 39-year-old Michael Daniel Goss of fleeing or attempting to elude police along with seven summary traffic violations for an incident on May 25th. Police tried to pull him over on Route 119 in Burrell Township when they received information that he was driving a vehicle whose owner had his license suspended. Goss pulled into the Kwik Fill gas station then fled north. Troopers remained in pursuit until speeds got close to 90 miles an hour. After stopping the pursuit for safety reasons, Goss’ car was reported crashed on Route 56 near Elizabeth Way. He was able to get out and run from the scene before he was eventually apprehended.
Goss has been in Indiana County Jail on $10,000 bail since his arrest. His hearing is set for 9:30 this morning in front of district judge Robert Bell Sr.
