The Altoona Curve beat Somerset, 9-6 as first baseman Mason Martin hit his 18th home run. Martin and Hartford’s Taylor Snyder lead the league in homers. Martin has 53 home runs since the start of the 2019 season to lead all minor leaguers.
Arden Pabst homered for the second straight game and Ji-hwan Bae and Canaan Smith-Njigba each had two hits. The Curve scored six runs in the fifth inning. Trey McGough got the win, giving up three runs over five innings.
Osvaldo Bido gets the start for the Curve in the third game of the series tonight.
