The Indiana Borough Police are warning of another scam intended to reach into the pockets of its victims, and it serves as a reminder to only do business with reputable people whom you know.
Police say they got a report yesterday from a real estate company that someone set up a Facebook Marketplace advertisement for a house listed for sale in the 100 block of South 13th Street. The realtor who listed the house confirmed that the individual who posted the ad doesn’t own the property and had no authority to list it.
Police warn that you should never provide personal information to people over the phone or social media if you cannot confirm their identity.
