Penelec and PennDOT have announced a planned power outage along the Route 286 corridor closed off to traffic.
The outage will run from 8-4 tomorrow along the Oakland Avenue work zone as crews install the first sections of the box culvert. Crews from Gulisek Construction will conduct the operations. This is part of the Route 286/422 Widening and Resurfacing Project meant to widen Route 286 and the Route 422 interchange, replace the bridge over McCarthy Run Creek and install sidewalks along 286. Other work on the project includes drainage and guide rail upgrades and traffic signal replacement.
PennDOT representatives said that Penelec has sent those who would be affected a letter far in advance of tomorrow’s outage.
