Plumville and Marion Center fire departments and three fire departments from Armstrong county were called out for a possible structure fire at a convenience store in Plumville this morning
The call went out around 7:50 this morning for crews to respond to the Plumville Deli, formerly known as Nelson’s Market at 109 Main Street in Plumville. Initial scanner reports say that a grease fire had started in one of the fryers and there was the possibility of it extending to the equipment.
Augie Santini with the Plumville Fire Department said that employees were able to knock the fire down quickly before crews arrived. Plumville firefighters stayed on scene to check for extensions while the remaining fire departments were sent back. People’s Gas was also called to the scene to assist in a post-fire check of the lines.
Minimal damage was reported and no one was hurt.
