State police have arrested three people in connection with the passing of counterfeit money in Indiana, but a fourth remains at large.
Troopers were dispatched to several businesses along Oakland Avenue in White Township for reports of counterfeit $100 bills used for the purchase of smaller items. Those businesses included Advance Auto Parts, Auto Zone, Aroma Joe’s and Harbor Frieght. Attempts were made to use the counterfeit money at Dunham’s Sports and Kohl’s as well. While canvassing the area, troopers were able to apprehend three adult male suspects, while a fourth suspect remains at large at this time.

The fourth suspect is described by police as a white, Hispanic male, about 19 or 20 years old, medium-length dark hair, wearing glasses, a blue Calvin Klein Sweatshirt, blue sweatpants and dark-colored shoes.
Charges are pending against the three who were apprehended. Their names have not been released. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-357-1960.
