Troopers are alerting local businesses after several counterfeit US $100 bills were passed today in Indiana County.
Since approximately 3:00 p.m. today, members of the Troop A, Indiana Patrol Unit have been dispatched to four separate businesses in White Township after counterfeit US $100 bills were passed.
Those four businesses include: Advance Auto Parts (2085 Oakland Avenue), Aroma Joe’s, (2057 Oakland Avenue), AutoZone (2044 Oakland Avenue), and Harbor Freight Tools (2334 Oakland Avenue).
During the transactions, the suspect passed a counterfeit US $100 bill as payment for a low-value item or items.
Also this afternoon, counterfeit US $100 bills were attempted to be passed at Dunham’s Sports (2334 Oakland Avenue) and Kohl’s (2334 Oakland Avenue).
The suspect is described as a white, Hispanic male reported to be approximately 19-20 years of age. He was also reported to have facial tattoos.
