A man charged in connection with a road-rage incident was sentenced yesterday in Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas.
24-year-old Miles Eggleston-Baxter of Indiana pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of reckless endangerment in connection with an incident on October 2nd, 2023. On that day, he and another person were involved in a near-collision on Klondyke Avenue. The victim started yelling from inside their vehicle, and Eggleston-Baxter started to follow them until they pulled into the parking lot of a business. Eggleston-Baxter then stepped out of the car with a knife in hand and started to step advance toward the victim. Indiana Borough Police quickly responded and saw him holding the knife and in a verbal confrontation. He was taken into custody without further incident, and no injuries were reported.
Charges of simple assault, possession of marijuana and terroristic threats were not prosecuted. He was ordered to pay costs and fines and was ordered to serve two years of probation.
