The Indiana Swim Team continued their dominance at the WPIAL Swim meet on Friday. The Boys Swim team took the WPIAL championship, while the girls were second place in the conference.
Some conference records were also set yesterday, with Preson Kessler setting a new WPIAL record in the 100 freestyle with a 44.45, and Alex Bauer setting a conference record in the 100 breastroke with a time of 55.08. The boys 400 free relay team also set a new record with a time of 3:06.36.
Here are some highlights from yesterday’s events:
- In the 100 yard Freestyle, Sydney Anderson took 6th and Bella Donatelli 11th in the Girls 100 Yard Freestyle.
- Preston Kessler took first in the Boys’ 100 yard freestyle, with Josh Reed taking 9th in the same event, and Joey Margita in 11th.
- Rey Nunez was 8th in the Boys 500 Free, and Eli Aiken was 10th in that event.
- Micah Weigner was 12th in the Boys 100 Backstroke.
- Peyton Scott took 2nd in the Girls 100 yard backstroke.
- Alex Bauer took first in the Boys 100 backstroke, and Even Speer took 14th.
- The Indiana High Girls took 7th in the 400 Freestyle Relay, while the Boys took first.
