The IUP basketball teams wrap up their regular season tonight with a doubleheader against Clarion at the KCAC.
Both teams have clinched a spot in the PSAC tournament, so today’s games will focus solely on the seniors for the 20-6 women and 16-11 men. Clarion’s women are 1-26 and 1-20 in the PSAC, while the men are 7-20 and 5-16.
Among those playing in their final regular season game is Ethan Porterfield. He talked with Jack Benedict earlier this week and discussed his upbringing in basketball. One thing Porterfield mentioned was that he molded his playing style after NBA legend Dirk Nowitzki, and he is noticing similarities.
