Earlier today, the United Way of Indiana County celebrated the end of the 2023-24 campaign at the Indiana Country Club.
Amid a shower of confetti, co-chairs Jim Rickard and Joyce Sharman announced that they exceeded their original goal by nearly $50,000 with a final total of $751,366.15. Rickard talked about what surpassing that goal meant.
Joyce Sharman said that it was bittersweet to come to the end of the campaign as she had fun with the events.
The United Way also announced its next campaign chair, which will be Clinton Smith. Smith ran a very successful campaign in 2019-2020, and said that he was working on a big goal.
The campaign is expected to kick off again in the late summer or early fall.
