INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police have charged an Indiana man with simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment for an incident last Saturday night. Police say at 7:56 PM on February 24th, officers were called out for a disturbance at a home in the 400 block of School Street. Police identified Charles Steiner, Jr. of Indiana as a suspect as he reportedly threatened to hurt his partner and caused some recent injuries to that person. He was taken into custody and placed in Indiana County Jail. Bail was set at $10,000 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 11th.
Four teenagers from outside Indiana were cited for underage drinking and carrying a false ID for an incident early Sunday morning. Indiana Borough Police say that 19-year-old Raegan May of Bedford, 18-year-old Natalie Goode of Pittsburgh, 19-year-old Andie Zeplin of Orwigsburg in Schuylkill County and 18-year-old Lauren Hertz of Pottsville, were riding in a car involved in a DUI investigation. Police found all four were intoxicated and had false ID cards that showed they were over 21 years of age. All charges were filed through district judge Tony Sottile’s office. The four were released on-scene to a sober adult.
