Power continues to go out through the northern part of Indiana County.
Both Penelec and REA Energy are reporting widespread power outages. As of 5:45 Tuesday evening, 4,236 Penelec customers are without power. The outages are primarily in Clymer Borough (741), Green (445), Rayne, (441), White (440) Canoe (428) and Cherryhill Townships (408). Outages have also been reported in Armagh, Homer City, Marion Center, Indiana, Plumville, and Smicksburg Boroughs. Outages were also reported in North, South East, West Mahoning Townships along with East and West Wheatfield Townships; and Grant, Pine and Rayne Townships.
REA Energy is reporting outages scattered throughout the county, with once again the majority of the outages in the northern regions of the county along with the Brush Valley area. Over 4,500 outages have been reported from REA Energy Cooperative members.
At this time, power is expected to be restored by 8:30 PM, but that could change.
