State police in Indiana released more information on a crash that happened in South Mahoning Township on Saturday.
Reports say at 3:18 a.m., a car driven by 44-year-old Edward Grates drove off Ambrose Road and struck a mailbox at a nearby home as well as an REA utility pole before coming to a stop after driving into an embankment.
Grates refused medical treatment from Citizens Ambulance Service, but minor injuries to the stomach area and a scratch on his head were reported. State police and fire crews from Plumville assisted on scene.
