After regular hunting licenses went on sale last week, the Pennsylvania Game Commission reminds area hunters that applications for antlerless deer licenses can be sent out starting today.
The price for antlerless tags has increased slightly, which the Game Commission urges hunters to view before applying. Licenses now cost $6.97 for state residents and $26.97 for non-resident hunters.
While the cost is pennies higher than before, the change is important as checks or money orders written for wrong amounts could result in the denial of applications, so the Game Commission reminds hunters to ensure payment is accurate. Checks must be made out to “County Treasurer.”
Hunters can submit up to three applications for antlerless deer licenses in the same envelope. Applications for leftover antlerless licenses can be made beginning Aug. 2, and applications for a third license can be made on Aug. 16.
All applications must be mailed in using the assigned pink envelope and can only be mailed in after hunters have applied for a general hunting license.
Non-resident hunters can begin applying for antlerless deer licenses in Pennsylvania next Monday.
