SW Jack and Marion Center will play the rubber game of their Youth Legion championship series after SW Jack won game one after it resumed on Friday, while Marion Center took the second game at First Commonwealth Bank Field in Homer City.
Adam McCoy laced a walk-off two-out based loaded RBI single in the bottom of the 7th to give Marion Center a 4-3 victory over SW Jack of Indiana evening the best-of-three Indiana County Youth American Legion Championship Series at a game apiece. Marion Center scored single runs in each of the first three innings to build a 3-0 lead, but S.W. Jack chipped away and Tristan Reddinger drove home the game-tying run with an RBI single int he top half of the 7th.
S.W. Jack won game one by a final of 10-6. That game was completed Friday night after being suspended by rain Thursday evening.
The third and deciding game will be played 10 AM Saturday morning at Marion Center High School. The winner not only claims the league title, but also advances to the Youth Legion Western Regional Tournament beginning next Friday in Punxsutawney.
