The cost of gas has taken a dramatic jump over the last week.
Triple-A reports that the average cost of a gallon of gas across western Pennsylvania is 13 cents a gallon higher than last week, bringing the regional average to $3.65 a gallon. This is lower than last year at this time when the average was at $3.80.
As of this morning, Triple-A says that the average for Indiana County is $3.65 a gallon. Comparing Indiana to the surrounding counties, Armstrong County has the lowest average at $3.56. Jefferson County’s average is $3.63, and Westmoreland County is $3.64. Clearfield ties with Indiana at $3.65 a gallon and Cambria is the highest at $3.69.
The statewide average is $3.54 a gallon, which is an increase of four cents from last week.
