Penguins forward Carl Hagelin will miss tonight’s home game against Calgary with a possible concussion. Hagelin suffered the injury on a hit from the Blues’ Alexander Steen Saturday night. Meanwhile, Evgeni Malkin practiced in a non-contact jersey on Monday but will not be ready for tonight’s game against Calgary. A third forward, Connor Sheary, remains out long-term with an upper body injury.
The Pens are in a second-place tie with Columbus in the Metropolitan Division. They’re seven points behind the surging Capitals, and are tied with the Blue Jackets for the third highest point total in the NHL.
Tonight’s game will air on AM 1160 WCCS and 101.1 FM, due to the Heritage Conference basketball semifinal on U92.
