The IUP basketball teams tangle with UPJ tonight on U92.
After snapping second-ranked Gannon’s 21-game winning streak on Saturday, IUP’s women have jumped into the 6th slot of the latest D2CSC Atlantic Region Poll. IUP is 16-5, and 12-4 in the PSAC. UPJ is 14-9 overall, 9-8 in the PSAC. Despite its solid record, IUP has still not clinched a spot in the PSAC Women’s Tournament.
Gannon fell to 6th in the new poll. The top two teams in the PSAC East standings, Lock Haven and West Chester, are third and fourth in the Atlantic Region.
IUP’s men are hoping to snap a two-game losing streak after a stirring comeback against number eight Gannon fell just short on Saturday. The Crimson Hawks are 14-8 and 11-5 in the PSAC and third in the West. Because of the results of other games over the weekend, IUP has clinched its 16th straight appearance in the PSAC Tournament.
UPJ is 6-17, and 4-13 in the PSAC, falling to last in the West.
Tonight’s action begins with the pregame on 92.5 FM U92 at 5:15.
