A pair of vehicle fires kept emergency crews busy this afternoon, as both happened within 30 minutes of each other.
The first call came into Indiana County 911 around 12:45 p.m., where Clymer fire crews were dispatched to a home along Dixon Road for reports of a car catching fire. Clymer fire Chief John Gromley said that the cause of the fire was a battery charger that short-circuited inside of a shed on the property.
He adds that crews were on the scene for approximately 15 minutes as someone nearby had put out most of the fire by the time they arrived, and no one was injured in the fire.
The second call came in around 1:15 p.m., and it saw Rossiter fire crews respond to a vehicle fire along Central St. in Canoe Township. No details on this fire have been reported yet.
The only other call to Indiana County 911 made today was a vehicle accident around 6:40 a.m. along Route 156 in East Mahoning Townhip that saw Plumville fire crews and Pennsylvania State Police respond, however no crash report has been released yet.
