The Pennsylvania Courts website is fully back online after a cyber attack was made on the site last week.
In a statement from PA Chief Justice Debra Todd, the website that was under a “denial of service attack” early last week is now back to full operation, including the civics educational toolkit, all e-services and e-commerce options. Todd said the anonymous attackers “attempted to undermine our mission to make justice accessible and to shutter the operation of the statewide court system.” Last week, hackers flooded the website and its servers with activity, which caused the system to shut down to everyone, including legitimate users.
While the attack is now behind them, Todd said that the team remains vigilant to identify and disarm the threat of continued and future cyber-attacks and continues to fully participate in law enforcement’s ongoing investigation.
