HELEN MAE LEWIS, 87

Helen Mae Lewis , age 87 , of Penn Run, died on Friday, June 25, 2021 at St. Andrews Village.

She was born in 1934 to the late Clair T. and Freda M. (Penn) Gamble.

Helen was a member of Crete Presbyterian Church for her entire life. She was a devoted mother raising 10 children. Helen loved to dance and listen to music especially bluegrass.

She is survived by the following children: Diane (Doroteo) Kisa, Judy (Keane) Janes, Donald (Karen) Schrecengost, Daniel (Annette) Schrecengost, Debra (Larry) Fulmer, Dennis (Nena) Schrecengost, Duane (Beverly) Schrecengost, Dwight Schrecengost, and Karen (Romeo) Bone. In addition, Helen has 27 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Helen was proceeded in death by husbands Donald H. Schrecengost and Orville Lewis, daughter Susan Reiter, and three siblings, Betty, Linda and Roger.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 11 AM. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
