Budget season continues tonight for Indiana County’s school districts, with the Homer-Center board slated to adopt a final budget.
The board will consider passing an $18.4 million budget that increases property taxes from 16.5091 mills to 16.7567 mills. That’s less than the 17.0044 mills than the tentative budget that passed last month.
The board will also consider a number of personnel and policy decisions, including the hiring of a director of special education and the reappointment of Dan Cooper as district solicitor.
Also on the agenda for Homer-Center tonight: The renewal of the contract with Smith Bus Company, and the joint agreement with Purchase Line, which would split the cost for the food service director evenly between the two districts. Purchase Line approved the proposal on Monday night.
