State police are investigating a shooting and attempted burglary at a business in Green Township late last week.
Troopers were called out at 4:11 AM to Betty Lou’s on Route 286 East near Commodore for a burglar alarm activation. When they arrived, troopers saw evidence of a burglary and that the suspect had fled the scene. After police investigated and viewed video surveillance footage, they found that an unknown man fired a 12-gauge shotgun multiple times at a side window of the building, then went in through the shot-up window. Extensive damage was reported as a result of the shooting, but nothing was taken from the business.
Troopers are asking anyone with information on the incident to give them a call at 724-357-1960 and to ask for Trooper Williams.
